Privacy Policy
Abroad is designed for private country-day recordkeeping. The app does not use accounts, advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, or cross-app tracking.
Information stored by the app
Abroad stores travel records you create or confirm, including country stays, planned trips, configured day thresholds, report settings, app settings, and purchase-unlock state reported by Apple. When location features are enabled, Abroad may store country-level stay records derived from significant location changes and reverse geocoding.
Abroad is a country-day tracker. It is not designed to store addresses, street-level routes, raw location trails, postal codes, or city-level legal compliance history.
Location use
Abroad can use Apple's significant location change service to help detect country changes without continuous GPS tracking. Location access is optional. If you deny or disable location access, you can still use manual entries and corrections.
Reverse geocoding is used to resolve a country code from a device location. Abroad uses coarse country context for stay records and may use coarse city context only for travel-memory features. The app does not sell, broker, or share location history with advertisers.
iCloud and device storage
Your travel history is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync through Abroad Pro, Apple CloudKit may sync your Abroad data through your iCloud account so it is available across your devices. Crafter Apps does not operate a separate travel-history server for Abroad.
Widgets, Siri, and Shortcuts
Abroad may prepare a small widget snapshot in the app group container so widgets and App Intents can answer country-day questions quickly. These surfaces use local on-device data and do not send your travel history to Crafter Apps.
In-app purchases
Abroad offers an optional one-time Pro unlock handled by Apple through StoreKit. Crafter Apps does not process payment cards, billing details, or App Store account credentials. Apple manages purchase transactions, receipts, refunds, and billing. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
No legal, immigration, or tax advice
Abroad is for planning and recordkeeping only. It does not provide legal, immigration, visa, or tax advice, and it does not guarantee eligibility, compliance, or residency outcomes. Confirm important decisions with official guidance or a qualified professional.
Support emails
If you contact support, your email address and message are used only to respond to your request. Support messages are not used for advertising or tracking.
Website privacy
This support website is a static Crafter Apps page. It does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or contact forms.
Children's privacy
Abroad is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Abroad changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
