Please read these Terms of Use before using Abroad. By downloading, installing, or using Abroad, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. What Abroad does
Abroad is an iPhone and iPad app for personal country-day recordkeeping. It can help you maintain travel stays, day counts, Schengen 90/180 context, tax-day thresholds, custom country thresholds, planned trips, reports, widgets, Siri, and Shortcuts.
2. No legal, immigration, visa, or tax advice
Abroad provides calculations and records for planning and personal organization only. It does not provide legal, immigration, visa, or tax advice, and it does not guarantee eligibility, compliance, residency status, or entry decisions. You are responsible for checking official rules and consulting qualified professionals when needed.
3. Your responsibility for records
Automatic detection, manual corrections, reports, and summaries are tools to help you maintain your own records. You are responsible for reviewing entries, correcting mistakes, and confirming important day counts before relying on them.
4. Location and manual tracking
Location access is optional. When enabled, Abroad uses Apple system location services, including significant location changes, to help detect country changes. Abroad is not designed to record continuous GPS routes or exact travel trails. Manual stays and corrections remain available when location access is unavailable or disabled.
5. Abroad Pro
Abroad may offer an optional one-time Pro unlock through Apple's in-app purchase system. Purchases, restores, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple and your Apple Account. Pro features may include multi-country automation, reports, planning, widgets, App Intents, iCloud sync, and advanced alerts.
6. iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync through Abroad Pro, your data may sync through Apple CloudKit using your iCloud account. Crafter Apps does not operate a separate travel-history server for Abroad.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it, bypass purchase or security systems, distribute modified versions, or use Abroad for unlawful purposes.
8. Intellectual property
Abroad, including its design, code, name, icons, and app content, is owned by Crafter Apps or its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain responsibility for the travel records you create in the app.
9. Apple App Store terms
Abroad is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's App Store terms and any applicable Apple policies. Apple is not responsible for providing support for Abroad; support is provided by Crafter Apps at developer@crafterapps.com.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Abroad is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. I do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every legal, immigration, visa, tax, or administrative situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crafter Apps and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Abroad.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when Abroad changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
