What is Abroad for?

Abroad helps you keep a private country-day record for travel planning, tax-residency thresholds, visa/admin thresholds, Schengen 90/180 context, reports, widgets, Siri, and shortcuts.

Does Abroad give tax or immigration advice?

No. Abroad is for planning and recordkeeping only. It does not provide legal, immigration, visa, or tax advice, and it does not guarantee eligibility, compliance, or residency outcomes.

Do I have to allow location access?

No. Location access improves automatic country detection, but manual stays and corrections remain available when location access is denied or disabled.

Does Abroad use continuous GPS?

No. Abroad is designed around Apple's significant location change service, not continuous GPS tracking.

How do I restore Abroad Pro?

Open the Pro or purchase screen in the app and choose Restore Purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit, so you must use the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

Why is my widget stale?

Open Abroad to refresh the local widget snapshot. Widgets read prepared local data and do not perform network, StoreKit, CloudKit, or location work themselves.

Does Abroad track me for advertising?

No. Abroad does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, cookies, or cross-app tracking.
