Object Catalog
Object Catalog app iconObject Catalog — A private library for real-world 3D objects

Scan it, name it, find it again.

Object Catalog scans real things into 3D models you can actually keep: capture an object with your camera, let on-device processing build a textured model, then name it and file it in a private local catalog you can reopen, view, and share whenever you want.

From real object to model you keep

Guided Object Capture

Guided capture with live feedback walks you around the object, with clear handling for cancellation and for devices that do not support scanning.

On-device reconstruction

Processing happens on your device and produces a textured 3D model — no upload step, no waiting on a server, no account to create first.

Supported iPhone and iPad hardware

Capture runs on iPhone and iPad models supported by Apple's Object Capture, and the support page keeps the current device list.

A catalog, not a camera roll

Named, reopenable records

Every completed scan is saved as a named catalog item with its preview and files, so a model you made months ago is still easy to find and reopen.

Browse and view in 3D

Open any saved object and view it in 3D, fully offline — no account, cloud library, or internet connection required.

Standard USDZ files

Models are saved as standard USDZ files that work across Apple platforms, so you can share any object whenever you want.

Pre-release availability

Object Catalog is in active development for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18 or later; capture requires hardware supported by Apple's Object Capture. The current product plan includes three saved objects, with capture, preview, and reopening existing objects free. Lifetime Access is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited saved objects — one payment, no subscription. The app is not yet available to download, and this page intentionally provides no App Store offer.

Maker note

Why every scan gets a name

Phone-scanning demos usually end at the wow moment: the model spins once and is never found again. I am building Object Catalog for the day after — products, prototypes, collectibles, furniture, props, anything you want to keep as a 3D record. That is why every scan becomes a named catalog item you can reopen offline, and why your models stay on your device instead of in someone else's cloud library.
