Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how Done ("I", "my", or "the App") handles your information. The short version: your core habit data is local by default. Optional premium iCloud sync, optional feedback, and optional Apple Health features handle only the data needed for those features.
Privacy-First Design
Done is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App stores your habit data locally on your device using SwiftData by default. Premium iCloud sync may sync habit data through your Apple iCloud/CloudKit when enabled and available. There is no account system, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.
No Tracking or Advertising
Done does not contain any advertising or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not share any data with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
Information Stored on Your Device
Done stores the following core habit information locally on your device:
Habit Data
- Habit Names: The names you give to your habits
- Habit Schedules: Which days of the week each habit is scheduled
- Completion Records: Dates when you marked habits as complete
App Preferences
- Notification Settings: Your preferences for reminder notifications
- Notification Times: When you want to receive reminders
Optional Feedback
If you choose to submit feedback from inside Done, the App sends the information needed to handle that support request to Daniel's feedback backend, which is connected to Notion. This can include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your feedback message
- Priority and technical metadata needed to understand and respond to the request
Feedback is optional. It is used for support and product improvement, not for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Optional Apple Health Integration
Done can optionally read selected Apple Health data on your device for premium health-linked habits. Health access is controlled by Apple's Health permission sheet, and you can change or revoke access in iOS Settings. Health data is used on-device for the habits you connect to Health. Done does not send Health data to the feedback backend.
Information I Do NOT Collect
Done does not collect or use:
- Location data
- Device advertising identifiers
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
- Health data for advertising, analytics, or feedback routing
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, Done uses Apple's local notification system to send you habit reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
Data Storage
Your core habit data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework by default. This data:
- Stays on your device unless premium iCloud sync is enabled and available
- May sync through your Apple iCloud/CloudKit when premium iCloud sync is enabled
- Is included in your device's iCloud backup if you have backups enabled in iOS Settings
- Is deleted from the device when you delete the App, subject to Apple's iCloud behavior for synced data
Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking
Done does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services. There is no:
- Firebase or other analytics platforms
- Crash reporting services
- Advertising networks
- Social media integrations
- Third-party cloud storage or sync services
The optional feedback flow uses Daniel's feedback backend connected to Notion only when you submit feedback.
Data Sharing
I do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.
Your Health data is not shared. Core habit data may sync through your Apple iCloud/CloudKit if premium iCloud sync is enabled and available. If you submit feedback, the feedback details described above are sent for support handling.
Your Rights and Data Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View Your Data: All your habit data is visible within the App
- Delete Individual Habits: Swipe to delete any habit and its history
- Delete All Data: Uninstalling the App removes all associated data
Children's Privacy
Done is not directed to children under 13. Optional feedback should only be submitted by a parent or guardian if the user is under 13.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Apple App Store
Done is distributed through the Apple App Store and complies with Apple's App Store Guidelines. For information about how Apple handles your data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.
