Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how AutoTranslate ("I", "my", or "the App") handles your information. The short version: all your data stays on your device.
Privacy-First Design
AutoTranslate is designed as a focused macOS developer utility. Localization files, generated translations, project settings, and app preferences stay under your control on your Mac unless you choose to export or share them.
No Tracking or Advertising
AutoTranslate does not contain any advertising or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not share any data with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
Information Stored on Your Device
AutoTranslate may store the following information locally on your device only:
Localization Project Data
- Source Strings: Localization keys and text you import
- Generated Translations: Draft localized strings created by the app
- Project Settings: Languages, file paths, and export preferences
App Preferences
- Interface Settings: Recent options and local preferences
- Export Location: The destination you choose when saving localization files
Information I Do NOT Collect
AutoTranslate does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Health or fitness data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Any data sent to external servers
Notifications
AutoTranslate does not need notification access for its core localization workflow.
Data Storage
AutoTranslate project data is stored locally on your device. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not synced to any cloud service
- Is included in your device's iCloud backup if you have backups enabled in iOS Settings
- Is deleted when you delete the App
No Third-Party Services
AutoTranslate does not integrate with any third-party services. There is no:
- Firebase or other analytics platforms
- Crash reporting services
- Advertising networks
- Social media integrations
- Cloud storage or sync services
Data Sharing
I do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.
Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted, there is no data to share.
Your Rights and Data Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View Your Data: Your imported strings and generated translations are visible in the app or exported files
- Delete Projects: Remove saved localization projects or exported files you no longer need
- Delete All Data: Uninstalling the App removes all associated data
Children's Privacy
AutoTranslate does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Apple App Store
