Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

Please read these Terms of Use before using iCheckup. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Description of the app

iCheckup is a used-iPhone inspection utility that guides buyers and sellers through supported checks, labels evidence clearly, and creates local reports. The app is informational and does not replace professional inspection, Apple service, carrier checks, marketplace policies, or your own judgment before buying or selling a device.

2. Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use iCheckup. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms.

3. Diagnostic limitations

iCheckup uses public Apple APIs and user-guided checks. It does not use private APIs, Apple internal diagnostics, Settings scraping, or backend verification. iCheckup does not certify devices, verify ownership, guarantee resale value, or confirm that any part is genuine Apple hardware.

4. Reports and decisions

Reports are generated from available evidence, skipped checks, warnings, failures, and limitations. You are responsible for deciding whether to buy, sell, repair, reset, or continue using a device. Do not rely on iCheckup as the only basis for a financial transaction.

5. Local data and sharing

Reports and sessions are stored locally by default. You are responsible for any report, screenshot, PDF, note, or summary you choose to share with another person or service.

6. In-app purchases

iCheckup may offer iCheckup Pro as a lifetime in-app purchase. Payments, refunds, family sharing where available, and purchase restoration are handled through Apple and your Apple ID. Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse iCheckup, attempt to reverse engineer the app, bypass purchase controls, interfere with the app's operation, or use reports in a deceptive, unlawful, or misleading way.

8. Apple App Store terms

These terms are between you and me, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for iCheckup. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to your use of the app through the App Store.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

iCheckup is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. I do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or able to detect every issue with a device.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including losses related to device purchases, resale decisions, repairs, missed defects, or reliance on an inspection report.

11. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
