Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how Session Flow ("I", "my", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

No Tracking or Advertising

Session Flow does not contain any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Information I Collect

Information You Provide

Session Flows: Custom session flows you create, including block types (Focus, Prep, Short Break, Long Break) and durations
Session History: Records of completed focus sessions, including timestamps and durations
Session Notes: Optional notes or scratch pads you create during sessions
Goals: Daily focus time and session goals you configure
Productivity Ratings: Optional mood or productivity ratings you provide after sessions

Screen Time Data (Focus Blocking — Lifetime Access Feature)

If you enable Focus Blocking and grant Screen Time authorization, Session Flow uses Apple's FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks to temporarily restrict access to apps, app categories, and websites you select during focus and prep blocks. This feature:

Requires your explicit authorization via Apple's Screen Time API
Only accesses the apps, categories, and websites you select
Processes all data entirely on your device — nothing is transmitted externally
Stores your selection locally in the app's secure storage
Can be disabled or have authorization revoked at any time in your device settings

Information Collected Automatically

Focus Statistics: Aggregated data including daily focus minutes, session counts, and streaks

Support and Feedback

If you submit feedback through the App, Flow sends the name, email, message, priority, likes, and project identifier you provide through the configured Netlify service to Notion. Timer state, flow definitions, session history, notes, and Screen Time selections are not included.

Information I Do NOT Collect

Personal identification information (name, email, phone) unless you contact support
Location data
Contacts or photos
Browsing history or app usage outside of Session Flow
Health or fitness data
Screen Time usage data or device usage statistics beyond the apps and categories you select for Focus Blocking

How I Use Your Information

I use the collected information to:

Provide focus timer and session flow features
Track your progress and display statistics
Calculate and display streaks and achievements
Deliver local session reminders and break notifications on your device (if enabled)
Restrict access to selected apps and websites during focus sessions (Focus Blocking, if enabled by you)
Improve and maintain the App
Respond to support requests

Data Storage

Local Storage

Your session flows, history, statistics, and notes are stored with SwiftData. They stay local by default. Lifetime Access can optionally switch the store to your private iCloud/CloudKit database; the app shows restart-required, offline, and recovery states rather than silently replacing the store.

Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.

I may share data with:

Feedback Processing: If you submit feedback through the App, the disclosed feedback and contact fields are processed via Netlify and stored in Notion. Focus/session data and Screen Time selections are excluded.
Private iCloud Sync: If you enable the Lifetime Access sync option, Apple CloudKit can synchronize Flow data through your private iCloud database.
Apple: In-app purchase management is handled through Apple's StoreKit. See Apple's privacy policy for details.
Legal Requirements: I may disclose information if required by law or to protect my rights.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or the data
Session history is retained locally for as long as you use the App
Feedback submitted through the App is retained in our feedback management system to improve the App

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the data I have about you
Request deletion of your data
Delete all your data by uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data

Security

I implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure in-app purchase verification via Apple StoreKit
Local data encryption via iOS device encryption

Children's Privacy

Session Flow is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe I have collected such information, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date.

Apple App Store

Session Flow is distributed through the Apple App Store and complies with Apple's App Store Guidelines. For information about how Apple handles your data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.
