Privacy Policy

Smart NFC keeps tag history, templates, drafts, and settings local. Sensitive NFC fields use Keychain rather than plaintext Core Data. Optional feedback is the separate user-initiated path that can send contact details and content you choose to enter.

No Tracking or Advertising

Smart NFC does not contain any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Local NFC data

Smart NFC stores scanned and created-tag history, record metadata, templates, favorites, filters, drafts, notes, capacity, technology, writability, and lock state in local Core Data. Non-sensitive raw NDEF data may be retained when available so you can inspect or reuse a tag.

Sensitive records and Keychain

Wi-Fi credentials and contact details needed for later writes are stored in the iOS Keychain with a UUID reference in Core Data. Contact scans do not keep a raw vCard archive in Core Data. If secure Keychain storage fails, Smart NFC does not fall back to plaintext Core Data.

Usage counters for the free one-scan and one-write allowance also use Keychain. Smart NFC does not run an account system or cloud-sync service.

Optional feedback

If you choose to submit feedback in the app, Smart NFC sends the name, email address, message, priority, likes, and project identifier you provide to Daniel's Netlify feedback service. It is used for support and product improvement, not advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Smart NFC never attaches NFC payloads, tag history, tag UIDs, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details, Keychain contents, or raw tag data to feedback.

Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.

Core NFC data remains under your control. External processing is limited to:

Apple: In-app purchase management is handled through Apple's StoreKit. See Apple's privacy policy for details.
Optional feedback: the feedback fields described above are sent only when you submit them.
Legal Requirements: I may disclose information if required by law or to protect my rights.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the data I have about you
Request deletion of your data
Delete all your data by uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data

Security

Smart NFC uses iOS device protections, Keychain with device-only access for sensitive payloads, verified StoreKit entitlements, and HTTPS for optional feedback.

Children's Privacy

Smart NFC is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe I have collected such information, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date.

Apple App Store
