Frequently Asked Questions
What can I write to an NFC tag?
Smart NFC supports URL, plain text, Wi-Fi network, contact card, email, phone, SMS, geographic location, app-launch, and custom data records on compatible writable NDEF tags. It does not read or clone protected payment or access credentials.
Where is my tag data stored?
History and templates are local. Sensitive Wi-Fi and contact fields required for later writes use iOS Keychain, while Core Data keeps redacted metadata. Optional feedback sends only the fields you enter and never attaches NFC content.
Why is a tag not writing?
Make sure the tag is writable, close to the NFC reader area on your iPhone, and not locked by another app. Some tags are read-only after they have been permanently locked.
What is included for free?
You can make one scan and one write, and URL is the free record type. Lifetime Access unlocks unlimited scan/write use and all ten supported record types through a one-time purchase.
How do I restore my purchase?
Smart NFC in-app purchases are linked to your Apple ID. To restore on a new device, open the app, go to the paywall, and tap "Restore Purchases." Your purchase can be restored on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
