Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to me. Core Tempo projects, entries, tags, rates, reports, and timer state stay in the local shared store. The optional feedback feature is the only Crafter Apps network-backed exception.
No Tracking or Advertising
Tempo does not contain any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not collect, share, or sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
Information You Provide
Tempo stores the data you create within the app, including:
- Projects: Names, colors, icons, and hourly rates you assign to your projects
- Time Entries: Start and end times, descriptions, and billable status of your tracked time
- Tags: Custom labels you create to categorize your time entries
All of this core time-tracking information is entered by you and stored locally on your device.
Local Storage Only
Tempo stores core time-tracking data locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. The same App Group store is used by the app, widgets, Live Activities, Control Center controls, and App Intents. Projects, entries, rates, reports, and timer state are not sent to the feedback service.
No Cloud Sync for Time Data
CloudKit is disabled. Tempo does not synchronize projects, entries, rates, reports, or timer state through a Tempo account or remote database.
Optional Feedback
If you choose to submit or browse product feedback, Tempo contacts the Crafter Apps Netlify/Notion feedback service. Only the user-entered feedback and disclosed contact fields are used for that purpose. Time projects, entries, rates, reports, and timer state must never be included.
In-App Purchases
Tempo offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Tempo Lifetime Access") handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2. I do not process any payment information. Apple manages all purchase transactions, receipts, and billing. For information on how Apple handles purchase data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Information I Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information outside the optional contact details you deliberately provide with feedback
- Location data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports (unless you opt in via Apple's system-level crash reporting)
Data Sharing
I do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.
Apple processes purchases and system services. The optional feedback service processes only the feedback payload you choose to submit.
Data Retention
Core time-tracking data remains on your device for as long as you use the app and is removed with the local app data. Feedback you deliberately submit is retained by the feedback service for support and product decisions.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- View, edit, or delete any project, time entry, or tag within the app at any time
- Export your time entries as a CSV file for your own records
- Delete all data by uninstalling the app

Security
Core time-tracking data is protected by iOS device encryption and app sandboxing. Optional feedback is transmitted over HTTPS when you choose to use that feature.
Children's Privacy
Tempo is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact me.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Tempo is distributed through the Apple App Store and complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. For information about how Apple handles your data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.
