Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a QR code?
Open SmartQR and tap the "+" button. Enter the URL or text you want to encode, customize the design, and tap "Create". Your QR code will be saved automatically.
What scan analytics are currently available?
Supported Pro QR codes show aggregate scan totals and the latest scan time. SmartQR does not currently provide per-scan location, device, or event history.
Does SmartQR send a notification for every scan?
No. Backend scan notifications are not a current SmartQR feature. Pro analytics use bounded aggregate counters instead of storing an individual event for every scan.
Does SmartQR collect a scanner's location or IP address?
No location or IP-derived analytics are included in the current scan contract. The supported backend stores aggregate scan count and latest scan time for an enabled code.
Can I edit a QR code after creating it?
You can edit the design of a saved QR code. With SmartQR Pro, supported Smart Links also let you change the destination without changing the printed or shared code.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions to manage or cancel your SmartQR Pro subscription. When SmartQR Pro ends, Smart Links and tracked codes stop redirecting and the app turns them back into static codes you can reprint; static codes keep working because the link is inside the code.
Is my data backed up?
Your QR codes are stored locally on your device and are included in your iCloud backup if enabled. Pro users also have their QR codes synced across devices via iCloud.
